Golden Crusted Parmesan Pork Chops with a Zesty Honey-Drippings Sauce
Succulent pork chops under a crispy golden parmesan crust, doused in a zesty honey-lemon sauce made from the skillet drippings. This delectable dish is your fast pass to a satisfying meal in less than half an hour.
Place the pork chops on a clean surface and pat dry with a paper towel.
2
In a small bowl, combine the Parmesan Cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, poultry seasoning, and ground pepper. This is your Parmesan-spice rub.
3
Rub the Parmesan-spice mixture on all sides of the pork chops, making sure they are well covered.
4
Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
5
Place the pork chops in the skillet once the oil is hot and the butter has melted. Sear for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
6
Flip the pork chops and sear the other side for an additional minute.
7
Lower the heat to low, cover the skillet firmly with a lid, and let the pork chops cook for about 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F. If the skillet doesn't have a lid, tightly cover it with aluminium foil instead.
8
Once done, transfer the pork chops to a plate and cover with aluminium foil to keep warm.
9
In the same skillet, increase the heat to medium-high, pour in the chicken broth, and bring it to a gentle simmer while scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze the pan and capture those tasty browned bits.
10
Allow the broth to reduce by half, which should take about 4 minutes.
11
Stir in the honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, and remaining 1 tablespoon butter until the butter is melted and the sauce is well combined.
12
Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them.
13
Top with a sprinkle of chopped parsley before serving.
