Creamy Wine-Infused Chicken with Mushroom & Bacon

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 cup bacon
cooked and crumbled
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken broth
16 oz fresh mushrooms
1/4 cup white cooking wine
1 cup parmesan cheese
1 medium onion
1/4 cup salted butter
4 medium chicken breasts
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Season chicken breasts with sea salt and black pepper.
In a shallow bowl, combine all-purpose flour, garlic powder, dried oregano, dried thyme, and allspice.
Dredge the seasoned chicken breasts in the dry mixture to coat.
In a large pan, melt salted butter over medium heat.
Brown the coated chicken breasts in the pan for 6 minutes per side, then transfer them to a plate and set aside.
In the same pan, add bacon, heavy cream, chicken broth, white cooking wine, parmesan cheese, onion, and mushrooms.
Stir the sauce to combine, then cook for one minute until it begins to thicken.
Add the browned chicken breasts back to the pan and reduce the heat to medium-low.
Cover the pan, and let the chicken simmer for 20 minutes.
Garnish the finished dish with fresh parsley before serving.
