In a bowl, whisk together reduced sodium soy sauce, chicken broth, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar, sesame oil, and ground ginger to create the sauce. Set aside.

In a small bowl, combine corn starch and cold water to form a slurry. Set aside.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken pieces and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned on the outside.

Add asparagus pieces to the skillet and continue cooking for 3-4 minutes until chicken is cooked through and asparagus is tender.
