In a food processor, combine the chopped onion and chopped garlic. Pulse until the mixture is finely minced.

Add the egg, salt, smoked paprika, dried oregano, ground cumin, chili powder, ground black pepper, ground coriander, ground nutmeg, and tomato paste to the food processor. Pulse again until well combined.

Tear the white bread into small pieces and add it to the food processor. Pulse until the bread is incorporated into the mixture.

Transfer the mixture from the food processor to a large bowl. Add the ground beef and use your hands to mix everything together until well combined.

Take about a tablespoon of the beef mixture and shape it into a ball. Repeat with the remaining beef mixture.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
