A scrumptious sesame-coated tofu dish with a sweet, sour, and spicy sauce that's bursting with flavor! Perfectly pan-fried tofu cubes are topped with a mouthwatering glaze and fresh scallions for a satisfying meal.
Press the extra-firm tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture, then cut into ¾-inch cubes.
2
Coat the tofu cubes evenly on all sides with the all-purpose flour.
3
Heat the vegetable oil in a cast iron or non-stick pan until shimmering.
4
Fry the tofu cubes in a single layer in the hot oil until golden brown on all sides, approximately 3 minutes per side. Then set aside on a plate lined with paper towels.
5
In a saucepan, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame seeds, sesame oil, raw honey, red pepper flakes, and corn starch until fully combined.
6
Bring the sauce to a full boil over medium heat, whisking continuously. Allow it to cook for about 5 minutes or until it thickens and becomes translucent.
7
Remove the sauce from heat.
8
Serve the tofu over rice, drizzle with the sauce, and garnish with sliced scallions.
