Our Creamy Cheddar Broccoli Orzo is an easy-to-make and heartwarming side dish. Perfectly cooked orzo blends harmoniously with freshly steamed broccoli and gets masked in a creamy, cheesy sauce. Perfect to be served alongside your favorite proteins or just a bountiful salad.
Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Once it's boiling, add in the orzo and leave it to cook for about 8 minutes.

Add the bite-sized broccoli florets into the pot with the orzo. Let them cook together for another 2 minutes, or until the orzo is tender.

Drain the orzo and broccoli well in a colander (broccoli tends to hold onto water, so make sure it's well drained). Transfer them back to the pot.

With the pot off the heat, add in the shredded cheddar cheese, unsalted butter, and whole milk. Stir everything together until the cheese is well melted and has coated the orzo and broccoli lightly.

Taste the dish and season with salt as needed. Serve immediately while it's still warm
