Succulent chicken breasts wrapped in a sweet and subtly spicy glaze featuring honey, ketchup and soy, offering a delightful family dinner treat. Served best with simple steamed rice or buttery mashed potatoes.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare a 9x13 baking dish by lightly oiling it.
2
In a bowl, combine the honey, ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce and garlic powder. Stir the ingredients until the sauce is smooth and well combined.
3
Pour enough sauce in the bottom of the prepared baking dish, just to cover the surface.
4
Place the flour in a separate bowl.
5
Dredge each chicken breast in the flour on both sides, shaking off the excess and place them in the baking dish, top side down.
6
Smother the chicken with the remaining sauce, ensuring it's evenly coated.
7
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then, carefully turn the chicken breasts over and baste with sauce from the baking dish.
8
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and no longer pink inside. Baste once more halfway through the cooking time.
9
Remove the baking dish from the oven, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving, and baste one last time before serving. Enjoy your sweet, sticky, delicious chicken with a side of your choice!
