Succulent BBQ pork sliders with a smoky barbecue sauce blended in the meat, topped with sautéed onions, and gooey mozzarella cheese, all perfectly placed on soft slider buns.
In a large bowl, mix ground pork, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, and BBQ sauce together.
3
Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape each portion into a slider-sized patty.
4
Place the formed patties onto a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until fully cooked.
5
In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced onion, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, and sauté for 7-8 minutes, or until translucent.
6
Slice the slider buns in half length-wise, if not pre-sliced.
7
Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a 13x9-inch baking dish.
8
Place the cooked patties on the bottom halves of the slider buns.
9
Top the patties with sautéed onions and shredded mozzarella.
10
Place the top halves of the buns on the sliders.
11
In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder, and brush the mixture over the tops of the slider buns.
12
Bake the assembled sliders for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are slightly toasted.
13
Remove the sliders from the oven and serve immediately.
