Crispy Air Fryer Dill Pickle Bites
Enjoy these crisp and tangy dill pickle bites cooked to perfection in an air fryer, achieving a delightful crunch while keeping it healthier than traditional frying methods. Perfect as a snack or appetizer!
4 large dill pickles
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp dried dill
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
Drain the pickles and pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess juice.
Slice pickles into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
In a medium bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and milk until you obtain a smooth texture.
In another shallow bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper.
Dip the pickle slices one at a time into the flour mixture, followed by the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.
Set the coated pickle slices aside until you have enough to fill the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Preheat the air fryer at 380°F for 3 minutes.
Spray the top of the coated pickle slices with a light coat of oil.
Place the pickle slices in the air fryer, sprayed side down, and spray the top side with oil.
Cook at 380°F for 10 minutes, flipping the pickle slices halfway through the cooking time.
Serve the crispy dill pickle bites with a sprinkle of dried dill on top.
