A unique twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie, incorporating a blend of semi-sweet and bitter-sweet chocolate chips with a hint of spices for an unforgettable flavor. Leave out the spices for double chocolate chip cookies.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave on high for approx. 1 1/2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Set aside.

In another small bowl combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and spices. Set aside.

In a large mixer bowl blend the butter, sugars, and vanilla until smooth. Beat in eggs until light and fluffy.

Blend in melted chocolate. Gradually beat in flour mixture.

Stir in bitter-sweet chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake in 375 degree oven for 9 minutes. Cool on pan for 3-4 minutes.
