Relish the explosion of flavors in this adaption of a traditional Korean favorite, Pork Bulgogi, cooked with succulent pieces of pork soaked in a savory-sweet marinade with a hint of crunch from onions. Served sprinkled with sesame seeds and a zesty splash of lime for that perfect finish.
Take a large bowl, mix together chopped garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, chili flakes, grated ginger, and freshly ground black pepper to create the marinade.
2
Add the thinly cut pork shoulder strips and onion wedges to the marinade. Mix well ensuring all pieces are coated, and allow it to rest for at least 30 minutes.
3
On medium heat, warm up the olive oil in a 12-inch skillet.
4
Transfer the marinated pork and onions into the skillet. Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding. Brown the pork and onions, this should take about 4 minutes per batch.
5
After browning all the batches, return all the pork and onions to the skillet, along with any remaining marinade. Stir well and cook until the pork is cooked through and onions are tender.
6
Squeeze the juice of a lime over the cooked Bulgogi. Stir well to incorporate.
7
Serve your delicious Pork Bulgogi with a garnish of toasted sesame seeds.
