Featuring fresh shrimp and vibrant green beans tossed in a rich garlic-tinged sauce, this simple yet elegant Garlic-Infused Shrimp & Steamed Green Beans dish is perfect for a hearty weeknight dinner. It requires only a single skillet, keeping cleanup to a minimum while maximizing flavor.
Preheat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2
Add trimmed and halved green beans to the skillet. Season them with sea salt and black pepper, then stir fry for about 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften.
3
Reduce heat to low and add 1/4 cup of water. Cover the skillet with a lid and let the beans steam for 10 minutes, check occasionally to ensure water hasn’t fully evaporated.
SAUCE
4
In a bowl, combine coconut aminos, seasoned rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil and sriracha. Stir well.
5
In the same bowl, stir in the cornstarch-water mixture. This will thicken the sauce.
MAIN
6
After beans have finished steaming, add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet. Cook until the shrimp turn pink; this should take about 2-3 minutes.
7
Pour the sauce into the skillet. Mix well to ensure the shrimp and beans are thoroughly coated.
8
Bring to a simmer until the sauce thickens, stirring frequently. Remove from heat as soon as the sauce has thickened.
9
Dish is best served warm. Enjoy it as is or serve it over a bed of steamed rice for a complete meal.
