Wrap tofu in paper towels, place between two plates and add a heavy object, such as a 28 oz can, on top of the upper plate. Press for 30 minutes or more.

Preheat air fryer to 390°F (200°C).

Cut tofu into 1/2-inch cubes.

Toss tofu in avocado oil, then in cornstarch.

Add paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Toss until tofu is evenly coated, then place in the air fryer basket.

Cook tofu in the air fryer for 13 minutes, shaking every 5 minutes, or until crispy on the outside and still soft on the inside.
GLAZE

In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
