Whip up a batch of our Classic Creamy Eggnog to bring the comforting warmth of the holidays to your home. This delicious, smooth, and rich drink is even tastier than store-bought eggnog and easier to prepare than you might think.
In a large saucepan, combine milk, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Heat on low for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

In a separate large bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar for 1 minute until well combined.

Increase the heat under the saucepan to medium-high and stir the milk mixture constantly until it just starts to boil. Immediately remove from heat.

Slowly whisk about 1/4 of the hot milk mixture into the egg yolk and sugar mixture. Then pour the egg yolk mixture back into the saucepan, whisking to combine.

Place saucepan back on the stove over medium heat, whisking constantly for 3 minutes. The mixture will thicken slightly.

Pour the hot eggnog into a large bowl or beverage container and let it cool at room temperature for 1 hour.

After 1 hour, stir in heavy cream, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, and ground nutmeg. Mix well.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving, allowing the flavors to meld and the mixture to cool completely.
