Place the chuck roast into the bottom of a 5.5 - 6 quart slow cooker.

In a small bowl, combine the dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and ground black pepper. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the chuck roast.

Add the pepperoncini slices, a splash of pepperoncini juice, drained Giardiniera, and beef broth into the slow cooker. Lift up the chuck roast pieces to let the broth seep underneath.

Place a lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 9 hours, or until the meat shreds easily with a fork.

Shred the meat and place it back into the slow cooker. Cook on low for an additional 1 hour.
