Prepare berries:Combine berries, 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch water (if using, ONLY with fresh berries) and lemon juice in a saucepan

Prepare topping:Combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking soda, salt and ground cinnamon in a medium mixing bowl
