Place the chicken breasts on a cutting board and slice them horizontally almost all the way through, but keeping them intact, so that they can fold open.

Evenly sprinkle Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and a pinch of sea salt on the inside of each chicken breast. Gently press the seasoning onto the surface of the chicken. Sprinkle Italian seasoning on the outside of the chicken breasts.

Spread 1 teaspoon of honey mustard evenly over the inside of each chicken breast.

Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of the honey mustard inside each chicken breast. Arrange 3 trimmed asparagus spears over the cheese.

Fold the chicken over and secure it closed with toothpicks, if needed.

Heat olive oil in a large, oven-safe pan over medium heat.

Place the chicken rolls in the pan, seam-side down, and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Cover the pan with aluminum foil and transfer it to the preheated oven. Bake for 15 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the chicken reads 165°F.
