Chop the semisweet chocolate into smaller pieces and place them in a heat-proof bowl.

In a small saucepan, bring the heavy cream to a low simmer over medium heat.

Pour the heated heavy cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for 1 minute.

Stir the chocolate and cream mixture until smooth and velvety.

Prepare the dipping accompaniments: wash and halve the strawberries, and arrange the pineapple chunks, strawberries, marshmallows, and assorted cookies on a large serving platter.
