Indulge in this comforting Cheesy Beef & Macaroni Bake, made with a tasty Sloppy Joe-style beef sauce, elbow macaroni, and topped with gooey cheese. Perfect for a hearty meal that the whole family will love!
Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
In a large pot, cook ground beef, and season with salt and pepper. Crumble the beef using a wooden spoon and cook until browned.
Using a slotted spoon, remove the cooked beef and transfer it to a paper towel-lined plate. Drain all but 2 tablespoons of the fat from the pot.
Add chopped onions, chopped green pepper, and minced garlic to the pot, and sauté over medium heat until vegetables are softened.
Add the cooked beef back to the pot along with dark brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, tomato sauce, ketchup, and beef broth. Mix well to combine and let simmer until thickened, about 5 to 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook the elbow macaroni in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions, just until al dente. Drain the pasta and add it to the meat sauce, stirring until evenly combined.
Transfer the pasta and meat mixture to the prepared baking dish.
Top the mixture evenly with shredded cheddar cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve the Cheesy Beef & Macaroni Bake hot.
