Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter and flour the bottom and sides of an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pan.

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together unsalted butter and granulated sugar on medium/high speed for 2-3 minutes.

Beat in 2 large eggs, mixing until well incorporated.

Alternately add flour mixture and 1/2 cup orange juice, beginning and ending with flour mixture, mixing on medium/low speed just until combined.
