Begin by cooking the rice. In a medium saucepot over high heat, add the rice and 4 cups of water. Once it comes to a boil, cover the pot, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and let it stand, covered, until ready to serve.
