Guar Gum is also used in cosmetic formulations such as shampoos, soaps, lip balms, skin salves etc.. Guar Gum has 8 times thickening ability than corn starch.. Guar gum is commercially extracted from the seeds of the Guar plant through a 4-step process that includes: roasting, de-husking, grinding and sieving. The remaining purified, powdery substance is an off-white, flour-like powder with an earthy odor.. India exports 90% of Guar Gum all over the world.
