Aleppo Pepper

Named after Aleppo, along the Silk Road in northern Syria, Aleppo flake pepper contains no inner flesh & seeds. Has a sweetness & flavor of dried tomatoes with a substantial kick behind it. Fairly mild with its heat building slowly with a fruity raisin-like flavor, naturally oilier but slightly salty because salt is often used in the drying process.
