Pat the strip loin steaks dry with a paper towel and season evenly on both sides with sea salt and freshly crushed black pepper. Let the steaks rest at room temperature for about an hour to allow the salt to penetrate the meat.

While the steak is resting, infuse the unsalted butter. Mince the garlic cloves and heat the butter in a saucepan on medium heat. Add the minced garlic to the butter and simmer the butter until it gets a bit frothy. Let it cool.

Brush the seasoned steaks with the cooled garlic-infused butter on both sides and place them in the air fryer basket.

Cook the steaks in the air fryer at 410F for 15 minutes for medium doneness, without pre-heating. Cook for 2 minutes less for medium-rare and rare, and 2 minutes more for medium well and well done.
