Succulent Bison Steak with Golden Baby Potatoes and Herb-Infused Butter Sauce
A feast for the senses, this Bison Steak Recipe is your secret weapon for successful dinner gatherings. It presents succulent pan-seared Bison New York Strip paired with golden crispy baby potatoes and finished with an aroma-filled, delectable herb-infused butter sauce.
Prepare the Herb-Infused Butter Sauce by combining minced garlic, 2 teaspoons of chopped thyme, 1 teaspoon of chopped rosemary, 1 teaspoon of oregano, and butter in a small bowl. Mix until the herbs are well incorporated into the butter.
2
Heat olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
3
Add baby potatoes, half of the minced garlic, 2 teaspoons of thyme, and 1 teaspoon of oregano into the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon.
4
Continue cooking until potatoes are tender, which should take about an extra 3-4 minutes. Transfer the potatoes to a plate and set aside.
5
Season the bison steaks with salt and pepper on both sides and cook in the same skillet over high heat until seared and browned, approximately 3 minutes per side.
6
Reduce the heat to medium-high and continue cooking the steaks to your preferred doneness: approximately 2 more minutes for medium-rare, 3 minutes for medium, and 4-5 minutes for well-done.
7
Turn off the heat and lather the steaks with the prepared Herb-Infused Butter Sauce.
8
Add the crispy baby potatoes back to the skillet and garnish the dish with sprigs of rosemary and a sprinkle of smoked sea salt flakes before serving.
