Place the chicken cubes in a bowl, season with black pepper, salt, garlic powder, dried oregano, and dried basil. Mix until all the chicken pieces are evenly coated with the seasonings.

Preheat a large skillet to medium heat, add olive oil and the seasoned chicken. Sauté for around 5 minutes until the chicken pieces are browned on all sides.

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and continue to sauté for an additional 5 minutes or until the water released from the mushrooms has almost fully evaporated.
