Our Festive Stovetop Mulled Wine is the aroma of winter holidays – rich red wine slowly infused with the warmth of cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and star anise, sweetened with sugar and delicious fruity notes of apple and oranges.
In a large pot or saucepan, pour in the bottle of red wine.

Add the apple slices, orange slices, mulling spices, granulated sugar, and salt.

Slowly heat the mixture over low heat, stirring gently, until the sugar dissolves and wine is warmed through, but not boiling (about 20-30 minutes). This will allow the flavors to infuse properly.

Strain the mulled wine into a clean pot or heatproof pitcher to remove the apple, orange slices and mulling spices.

Stir in the brandy.

Serve the mulled wine warm in heatproof mugs or glasses.
