In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onions and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.

Reduce the heat to medium and continue cooking the onions for another 10 minutes, stirring frequently.

Add a pinch of salt, reduce the heat to low, and cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. In total, you should cook the onions for 30 minutes.
