Heat a 12-inch cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter. Once melted, add the sliced mushrooms, 3 minced garlic cloves, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until mushrooms are tender and browned. Transfer the mushrooms to a plate and set aside.
