Before starting, prepare your rice according to the package instructions and set aside.

Combine sesame oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, cornstarch, garlic chili sauce, and maple syrup in a bowl and whisk together to create your stir-fry sauce.

Heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the rinsed chickpeas to the skillet and stir for a couple of minutes, allowing them to heat through.
