In 2008 we began selling our first product, Pork Barrel BBQ All-American Spice Rub, to friends and family out of the basements of our homes, navigating the highs and lows of entrepreneurship. Our big break came in 2009 when we appeared on ABC's hit reality show Shark Tank and were given the opportunity to introduce our brand to the world, taking us from a local brand to a national brand almost overnight. Since that momentous night we have expanded our product line and gone from selling products in three stores to thousands of stores across the world. Throughout this journey we have traveled thousands of miles to food shows, product demonstrations, media appearances, and BBQ competitions, including the most prestigious contests in the world, including The Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbecue, The American Royal, and Memphis in May. The one constant through our travels was a desire for bacon in the morning and a perfect travel snack during the day.
