Fill a large pan with water and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, add the green beans and boil them for 2 ½ minutes.

Remove the beans from the heat, then drain and rinse them under cold water immediately to halt the cooking process. Pat the beans dry with paper towels.

Heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a deep pan or wok over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and chili flakes to the hot oil, stirring well to prevent the garlic from burning.

After about 30 seconds, when the garlic is fragrant, add the blanched green beans to the pan. Stir well to ensure all the beans are coated with the garlic and oil.

Season the beans to taste with salt and pepper, and sprinkle in the garlic powder, stirring well for even distribution.

Sauté the beans for about 2 minutes, or until they reach your preferred texture. Turn off the heat.
