In a medium saucepan, bring 3 cups of water to a boil and add the uncooked short grain brown rice. Cook according to package instructions.
TERIYAKI SAUCE

In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of water to create slurry. Pour slurry into the simmering sauce, stirring continuously until thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
