These Mini Pepperoni Pizza Bites are the perfect finger-food appetizer for any gathering. Packed with flavors of mushrooms, melty mozzarella cheese, and zesty pepperoni, these bites will have your guests reaching for more.
Preheat oven to 425°F. Place oven rack in the middle.
2
Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
3
Add thinly sliced cremini mushrooms; sauté until liquid evaporates and mushrooms are golden, about 7 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.
4
Add finely chopped garlic to the pan and cook, stirring, for 30 seconds.
5
Stir in store-bought marinara sauce, dried oregano, table salt, and black pepper; reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring a few times, for 4-5 minutes.
6
Coat a 12-hole mini muffin pan with cooking spray.
7
Place one wonton wrapper in each hole, pressing down gently so the bottom of each cup is evenly covered (edges of wontons will come up the sides to form a crust).
8
Place a rounded 1/2 Tbsp of sautéed mushrooms in each hole and top each with 1 1/2 Tbsp of marinara sauce mixture.
9
Bake for 4 minutes, then remove from oven and sprinkle each pizza bite with 1/2 Tbsp of mozzarella cheese and 1 slice of turkey pepperoni.
10
Return pan to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
11
Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
12
Sprinkle with additional dried oregano and red pepper flakes, if desired.
