Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Lightly coat twelve muffin cups with olive oil.

Slice four of the bacon strips into thirds, chop the remaining bacon into pieces.

In a 12-inch skillet, cook the third slices of bacon over medium heat until they become crisp.

Transfer cooked bacon onto a plate lined with paper towel to drain excess fat, leave the grease in the pan.

In the same skillet, add the chopped bacon, granny smith apples, and white onion. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, make sure to stir occasionally.
