While the tortellini cooks, chop the fresh sage, and slice the cremini mushrooms.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of butter and the olive oil.

When the skillet is hot, add the chopped sage and cook for about 1 minute, or until it crisps up. Remove the sage from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms, minced garlic, and another tablespoon of butter. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the mushrooms are nicely browned, stirring occasionally.

Drain the cooked tortellini and add it to the skillet along with the remaining butter, parmesan cheese, and crispy sage.

Toss until everything is nicely coated, and then season with salt and pepper to taste.
