Perfect Apple Crumble

Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F. Add sugar, flour, and rolled oats to a bowl and mix to combine. Add cold butter and use your fingers to mix until large crumbs form. Transfer crumbles to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in the oven for approx. 15 – 20 min., or until golden brown.

Grease the liner of the Instant Pot with non-stick cooking spray.

Add the sliced apples to the greased Instant Pot.

In a bowl, mix together apple juice, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and vanilla extract.

Pour half of the apple juice mixture over the apples.

In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch with a splash of water to create a slurry.

Add cornstarch slurry to the apples and stir.

In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.

Add melted butter to the oat mixture and stir until well combined.

Spread the oat mixture over the apples in the Instant Pot.

Gently pour the remaining apple juice mixture over the oat topping without disturbing the layers.

Close the Instant Pot, set the valve to sealing, and cook on Manual for 1 minute.

After the cooking time is finished, perform a quick steam release.
