In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, dark unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and granulated white sugar. Whisk the dry ingredients together.

Add the buttermilk, large egg, and melted butter into the dry mix. Whisk a few times until batter comes together, but a few lumps still remain. Do not overmix.

Gently mix the crushed Oreos into the pancake batter. Let the batter sit for a few minutes to thicken.

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Grease the skillet lightly.
