Eye Patch

An eye patch is a small accessory typically made of an opaque or light-blocking fabric, which covers one eye and is secured by an elastic band or adjustable strap that goes around the head. Eye patches are often utilized for various therapeutic, cosmetic, or practical purposes, and are commonly associated with pirates as a notable symbol in popular culture. In a personal, home setting, an eye patch may be used to address an eye injury or infection, for recovery from eye surgery, or to aid in the treatment of amblyopia, also known as lazy eye. Additionally, some people wear eye patches during sleep to reduce exposure to artificial light, thereby promoting better sleep quality.
