Charcoal

Charcoal is an incredibly versatile product that is widely used for a variety of home applications. It is primarily a lightweight, black residue made from burning carbon-rich materials, such as wood, in an environment with limited oxygen. The process of creating charcoal, called pyrolysis, removes impurities from the material, leaving behind a substance with excellent fuel properties and absorption capabilities. At home, charcoal is predominantly used as a fuel source for cooking and barbecuing. It imparts a distinct smoky flavor to food items, making it popular among grilling enthusiasts. Furthermore, activated charcoal, a treated form of the substance, can be utilized for air and water purification, as well as in emergency situations for poisoning treatments.
